TomTom RIDER (satellite navigation for motorcycles) – why is suspended?
Hello, I was thinking about buying a TomTom Rider recently … that Christmas was in Halfords for £ 250, but now that they have suspended. Although there are some available online, there are very few reasonably priced and I realize that a large number of sites they have been suspended. Is it because there is any defect in them? Or is it simply a lack of demand? Interested in knowing any person who is – what is your opinion, is a good buy? Also interested in theories about why it has been interrupted in many places. Cheers.
The product itself has not been interrupted as I can tell, is still on the official website of TomTom. You're right though lots of sites break of this issue. I guess the lack of demand is the main drawback for the retailer, is a pretty limited market for Sat Nav bike really only intended for the Fraternity tourism. Most drivers do not need one enough to justify the price. I think they are good, the organization I work has a large fleet of motorcycles with several bikes with the TomTom RIDER. It seems that work as good as the versions of cars. I have tomtom 5 on the pda in the car and I think it's great. Would you buy one for my bike? No, not until around the £ 100 mark which will be in a few years, then I will reconsider.
