motorcycle sales agreement… can dealership sell bike to someone else?
i got a sales agreement on a motorcycle i was looking at on thursday and i went to the bank and made an appointment to get a loan to pay for it for monday… when i was leaving someone else was looking at the same bike… can they sell it to someone else before i get my loan on monday?
no i didnt make a deposit because i wanted to be 100 percent sure i could get the loan before i just give money to them. im afraid that im going to get the loan and go to get the bike and it will not be there… is that fair?
unless the sales agreement specifies the VIN of the bike in question then yea sure they can sell it, all they have to do is get you another one and the sales agreement will be fulfilled. It may not be fair but it is business you didn’t put a deposit down therefore they are under no obligation to hold that particular bike especially if they can get you another one.
Me I would vote with my feet and take my business else where. We have 2 bike shops in my town and one treated my daughter like she was buying the biggest crusier in the shop when she got her scooter. The other place the employees treated me like s**t when I went in to buy a bike so I went to the place my daughter got hers and have been treated great and I tell everyone to go to this place and F**K the other guy.
