How to check the oil level motorcycle?
I have a circle of glass, with a low and high on my motorcycle engine to check oil level, and obviously the oil level must be between the two, and I'm pretty sure this should be checked when the bike is fully upright. But im sure the oil level should be checked when the motorcycle is running, or after it ran when the oil is hot, or after the oil cools. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much.
Sparky is correct running-NO, with the bike standing upright, or in a center stand or a block of wood under the side / kick support the bike upright better. to check when the oil is cold, first thing in the morning before giving a walk, but you can check at any time, if you wait a few minutes for the oil to drain down.
