Att Funny Car: There are two yearly events at Goodwood: The Festival of Speed and the Revival Meeting. The single car (up-the-hill) competition you saw on SPEED is just one of many events, including the Woodcote Trophy, The Lexxoc Cup, The Sussex Cup … for both cars and bikes.
Att L96vette; I think you and the first two people to answer this question are misinterpreting what a “Historic Motorsports Event” is; it’s an event with many races for older cars (they are often quite valueable) where the competition isn’t `cut-throat’ and the participants are sometimes `showing’ their cars rather than racing them hard. Most of the drivers aren’t or have never been `serious’ racers.
