ATV Mud Tires?
I’m getting an arctic cat 500 any tire suggestion
It depends on what terrain your going to be riding on. If your going to be riding your cat strictly in mud you can’t go wrong with HighLifter Outlaws or the Interco Vampires. But if your planning on trail riding, rock crawling, driving down black top or gravel roads the choices will be different. Right now there are a lot of great tires on the market. Many people are brand biased because that’s what they own. They also might have seen a set of tires perform on a different machine either favorably or negatively. But that doesn’t mean they will do the same on yours.
A few good all around tires that do good in mud & general use are. Highlifter MST’s, ITP 589′s, Maxxis Mud Bug’s, ITP MudLites XTR also the Goodyear Mudrunner’s. All these tires will take you through the mud and still give a decent ride down the trail.
If your not going to hit that much deep mud I would look at the Maxxis Bighorns or GBC Dirt Tamer They ride nice down the trail. Work great on rocks and does ok in the mud. But these are more of a general purpose type tire.
As for tire size that’s up to you. The bigger you go the more top end speed your going to lose. But Those Cat’s are known for being able to fit some big meats under them. Like 29.5 Outlaws.
