You can ride on the track "lane" on River Road near the outskirts of New Paltz / Tillson. (Hiking it takes an hour). But be careful because there are others out there on horseback, ATV's, bicycles, joggers and people walking. The owners allow people through all times to respect the land and other walking and cycling there. Landlords often pass through on horseback.
