6.5HP How fast a Go Kart that weighs about 150 pounds go?
I'm buying a road go kart that has a 6.5 hp honda engine in it, how fast it's going? Atleast 30-40 Can it speed? Would it be difficult to upgrade to a bigger engine?
Depends friction and the weight of the operator. An engine of 6.5 horsepower is pretty good average size of a car of that weight, so you should be able to hit 30 mph with the right gear. Upgrading to a bigger engine will probably require a new chain and clutch again, along with the larger engine. This also put more weight back and make treatment a little more difficult. I would say to see what you can do with an engine of 6.5 horsepower first.
