I went over to my friend’s house to see the new bike that he’s very much raving about. I really do not want to go but my friend begs me to come. I was not expecting much to see of the “wonderful” pit bikes as my friend lovingly calls it but I do not want to disappoint my good friend. I said to myself, I will just go over to their house, make a few nice remarks and then be off. That was my intention but it was not to be. Don’t blame my friend – blame me, for I was the one who overstayed my welcome purring over one of the braaap pit bikes.
What I planned to be a half hour visit extended through the night. I was so charmed by the braaapster superlite bike I have lost all track of time tinkering around it. From that day onward I became the most avid braaap aficionado in town. There is nothing in the braaap pit bikes that I do not know. From news to parts, you name it, I know it. The mini wonder bike has truly captured and captivated my imagination.I do not think you can blame me. I saw in the braaap pit bikes the culmination of my dream to be an active motocross rider and competitor. I have this raging passion to go into motocross sport and it is only the price that’s holding me down.
Let us all face it, big bikes cost heavy, not to mention the price for upkeep and spare parts. With the introduction of these wonderfully crafted engineering machine, it has broken the bounds of motocross biking. No more is it the domain of bike bikers alone. The pit bikes have conquered the arena by a storm. With its popularity there is now an abundance of competition and tournaments going around the country all the time. The best part is, you can have your very own braaapster at a fraction of the price it cost those big bikes. So here I am now, pursuing my lifelong dream to be a motocross driver, without sacrificing a lot – and most importantly – my wallet!
