ATV problem?
Hello. After mounting a belt drive ATV (Polaris Sportsman 500) for about an hour, you hear a strange noise from the area covered by the belt. It seems as if the plastic is the classification against something else inside. This is a very difficult problem to address, but the sound can be described as a rock bouncing around the belt cover area. This noise only occurs when a gas is pushed in. idle bit is fine, performance does not seem to be affected. Any suggestions on what this might be? And it could serve this potential damage to the engine? Thank you!
I Do not think it will damage the engine .. that might hurt your torque converter if somthing is loose, it is best to remove the cover that goes over the belt, I do not own, but an athlete i doubt its more than 8 bolts holding on, you have to replace the tape every few months anyway, just might need a new belt age, could be a broken
