Replacing Polaris Trail Boss Belt?

Will replacing the belt on a polaris trail boss ATV bring back lost power from over the 6 years since we’ve bought it (from dealer new). The motor runs great. The belt width has worn well past the point to when the dealer recommends to fix it.

Changing the belt will help. Also, if you have centrifigul rollers inside the front pulley assembly, pull the cover off of the pulley and make sure the rollers are riding all of the way up their channels. If you have this set up, dirt can get into these channels and block the rollers. the result feels like a loss of power, and the rev limiter will activate before you reach top speed.
