Polaris Atv Michigan

Michigan hopes of a misdemeanor for having ATV on the road?
As crazy as it sounds, this was not as simple moving violation or ticket. Is accused as a misdemeanor (It was not drinking or speeding) My stepson who is 23 relieved the ticket in our Polaris Ranger. It has a government job and the load may affect its position and lead to disciplinary actions. Our state is now inspected Ranger, temporary license w / plate and secure and is 100% legal to be in the route. I wonder if it would be beneficial for him to have a lawyer to fight the charge. I've always thought that having a decrease in what the courts do to you. Any advice or personal experience out there on this? Thanks!
A lawyer is always beneficial in court proceedings, have access to the prosecutor and the judge that the citizens no, but if you go to court and prove to the judge who has made street legal vehicle should be able to get it reduced to a traffic violation and pay a fine. ~
