Polaris Atv Racks

As with many items that have gained great popularity with the public, all-terrain vehicle (ATV) has a very interesting story. What began as a practical resource agriculture has become the machine around which has been a very competitive sport and the racing industry built.
Long before that in 1970 Honda introduced a vehicle to launch the "modern" era of ATV, numerous American companies offered small off-road vehicles and were amphibious in nature and were designed to traverse swamps, streams and ponds as well as dry land. These vehicles were built of fiberglass or hard plastic and usually had six wheels, all driven, providing a strong traction component. They were intended for riders and had multiple steering wheels or control sticks instead of the mechanism of the standard type motorcycle used in the modern sport utility vehicle.
In Japan, a similar vehicle was being used on farms that were in mountainous terrain. In 1970, Honda introduced the US90 and was aided in its marketing efforts for the film James Bond "Diamonds Are Forever", a film in which the ATV played a significant role. The unique vehicle offered large balloon tires in place of a mechanical suspension. The ability to go anywhere in the country or terrain that most other vehicles could not cross soon made them U.S. popular and Canadian hunters, and those just looking for a good ride.
In the early 1980's, ATV's were introduced that had a much lower profile tire and suspension. It was at this time that the first three-wheeled ATV was developed for public use. During this decade, many manufacturers entered the "sport" ATV market, including high profile names such as Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Polaris.
Security problems ATV comes with three wheels and is a little known fact that the infant industry was nearly banned from the public by Congress because of these security issues. Three wheels ended in production due to consent decrees between the major manufacturers and the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the 1987 four-wheeled ATV became the norm. Although these consent decrees ended in 1997, allowing companies to make a market more and three-wheel models, very few were actually marketed and sold.
Today's ATV models generally fall into any of the sports fields or public service. The sports models, for the most part, are small, light two hand-drive vehicles with suspension and rapid acceleration. The utility ATV, by contrast, are much larger four-wheel drive vehicles on wheels and have a maximum speed much slower than their sports. They also have a very necessary function, the ability to transport small loads on racks of subjects and / or small dump beds. Sporting ATV's are designed for performance rather than utility and can reach speeds of 100 miles per hour or more.
The ATV market has caught the interest of consumers of Generation Y (18-24) and all-terrain vehicle has exploded in popularity In recent years, even has its own racetrack. With more and more companies entering the market ATV, it is virtually certain that this vehicle only off the road is here to stay.
