Becoming a professional motocross rider?
I hope to be a professional motocross racer. I have 14 years, and I had a good amount of experience in riding big bikes. I've been riding a Honda CR250R for about two years, and I have all techniques of motocross below. I just need some basics on how get to the big leagues.
I'm in the same boat as you are the man, except I'm a lil bit more, and I ride a 250F. Your best bet to turn pro in this tough sport of Motocross is going to win and many races as you can, start kicking some butt in the local and national races before competing mini to large national taking place throughout the country. Once you start winning and get solid finishes for local material that can try to qualify for Loretta Lynn Amateur National Championships in early August or national NMA Ponca City in Oklahoma. This is where the upper mx professional recruiting some of the big factory teams. A top 5 finish there in the A or Class B is a step towards a professional career. So definitely not easy and I'm trying to do it myself, only I have to train harder and ride your. Also must have good parents and godparents be paying for all of your gear, with great race bikes, coach, renting or buying an RV (if you're going to make national) gas, food, etc. This all makes sense. Once you enter the Class A, has the Pro-AM race as many races and Arenacross races so you can get over 100 points for Pro-Am become a professional driver under the AMA. Hope this helped!
