Best holiday destination for two people for a long weekend in southern England?

My boyfriend and I live in Oxfordshire and are planning to go away at the end of April for a long weekend. We go to one of Cornwall or Devon, but are not familiar with the area. Can anyone suggest a scenic area with beautiful beaches and nice restaurants and outdoor activities such as Quad Biking perhaps?? Thanks in advance:)

my favorite is St. Ives in Cornwall … very artistic, has a branch of the Tate (Modern Art) and the Barbara Hepworth Museum … very, very picturesque with its cobblestone streets, art galleries, some nice restaurants … picturesque area (but you need a car to get the most out of it) … visit Lands End, Porthcurno with its theater, built on the cliffs and Museum of the telegraph … Geevor tin mining museum in San Justo … beautiful white sand beaches that make watching the aquamarine sea an impressive … if you can allowed are feeling adventurous and make the journey by helicopter from Penzance to the Isles of Scilly
