where do all the wires go on my quad racer suzuki 230 87′?
purchased quad with the hope of doing a ring job though , it seems all the wires are like spliced with stuff missing. like where do the wires go to from the motor or what are they for.basically rewire the whole bike I have wire. would like to do it myself just need to know where they go ..
You need to get a repair manual. Use the link below for your machine. BTW, you have a Quadrunner and not a Quadracer – if indeed it is a 230. The Quadracer is a 2-stroke 250cc and the Quadrunner is a 4-stroke 230cc. OR the Racer is yellow and blue and the Runner is orange and black.
A “ring job” is the mind set typically taken with a 2-stroke and not a 4-stroke. Hopefully you did a compression test before the purchase. This will indeed tell you what is going on inside the cylinder – although you will need to do a leak down test to tell you what the valves are doing.
The wiring nightmare is your biggest challenge – get the manual. It’s WORTH the money.
