Why ATVs and dirt bikes so expensive to rent?

I was planning a trip and wanted to rent some ATVs or dirtbikes and saw that all companies who want to rent at least 90-100 dollars a day. I can get the same ATV or Dirtbike for about $ 1,000 (about 10% of the actual price) so why charge as $ 100 per day to rent? You can rent a car for that price and the cars are more expensive if you buy them.
