How Manny cc engine makes the quad you have to test up the hill in the dunes of Silver Lake?
I want to go there and rent some vehicles terrain in the Silver Lake sand dunes but I know that the 200 cc engine car red Honda Recons more people did not even make it half up. I guess I will need a 400cc, but you tell me?
They do not know these particular dunes at Silver Lake. I know well quads. I have had many, including a Honda Recon. I will answer to your question with experience. I'm 5'11 "and weight about 185 #. My little Honda Recon packed around me just fine on the trails and the like. Dunas in any way. Take into consideration the size of her body in this. By the way, and I can be wrong, the Recon is only 250 and only 2-WD. I live in the desert sand everywhere here. For dune climbing, custom cut Recon, unless it is very clear. They do not have the torque or horsepower to do so. Great bikes, but not by dunes. perfect track bike again, I do not want to stop at Honda or a bicycle, but not for the dunes. I've shot / crash once in my life in a quad. It was a Honda Recon 250 2001 trying to climb a sand dune. Is not that what they are designed for …. To the sand dunes, go for a bigger quad, two or four times. I can face the dunes of myself wives 400 4 stroke (Yamaha Kodiak) without even getting nervous. Mine is a Yamaha Kodiak 450, and I look back and laugh at the dunes today. Note in terms of weight and experience. Personally, unless you are a small built person, who has extensive experience, go with the 400. A 250 is too little for a rookie try in the dunes unless experienced or really showing and try to save some money. Be careful, the bike that can handle the size, experience and goals.
