Sand Go Kart
this buggy / sand rail / go kart be street legal?
I'm trying to make a street legal go kart, but I do not know the requirements. You will have heavy right roll cage, low lights and headlights, taillights, brake lights, blinkers, 5 points from safety, large disc brakes (it is unknown whether or not hydraulic) and a 1991 Seadoo engine water cooled, 580cc with 60hp. so this would be able to do legally?
You'll have to contact your local DMV for rules title taken from a more capable vehicle. people start with a vehicle already titled. Hence the popularity of VW Beetles and buggies. The framework and the numbers of the title match engine. Then simply follow the rules of the road – The lights, seat belts, etc which are essentially the construction of a vehicle motor. While it is possible, you'll have to jump through some hoops down at the DMV to get a title and registration.
