Planning a pond in your water garden

After crossing a stream in the garden, this requires more work. You must use the general treatment in expanding the area of considerable water. One of the ways you can do this is to create a lily pond in the garden beyond the stream, with an entry and output, ensuring the flow of water.

Bays should be formed on the near side. Communication through the current may be through a simple bridge, or focal points if the water is shallow. You must resist the temptation to give a rustic "person with its bridge and think carefully about how add statues patio, large fonts, or sources inside the wall that is best left at home. It should be a matter of friction, and built so firmly, as befits to an end, and with a handrail on both sides.

One type of water garden which is frankly artificial and depends for its water supply in the kitchen faucet or pump. The latter condition means that you must have some knowledge of the economics of water and what better can be done by developing what is called a movement.

The first consideration is the planning of the ponds (eg they are) and that should be guided by the levels in your garden and their wishes in the matter of surface water. If there is a different slope in the garden area, the better. It will help you get to a simple fix to run the water, as it should do from time to time to keep ponds clean and tenants in good condition.

You must provide the waste or overflow of the pond or a series of ponds for when the garden slopes towards the house. The most convenient way is to take down a ravine in relation to the drainage system of the house. When the slope toward contrary to the best resource is a "soak-away" drain. This is nothing more than a well sunk into the ground and filled with debris, in which the drain pipe is brought out. Consider hiding the debris with a large font, such as a wall fountain or other water source in the courtyard.

The ponds should be constructed with a fund through the use of waterproof cement or concrete. This means that form the bottom and the construction of the pond walls. If you use rock or rubble sides should be built in cement. We must also take care that the joints watertight. You can make the floor with six or eight inches of concrete, faced with cement. The surface should not be terminated to a dead level, but should have a slight decrease towards the exit, to facilitate the operation out of water.

If the sides of the pond are constructed of concrete, battered edges should make the edges visible. You can do this by constructing first a wooden frame. good quality fresh cement should be used, tempered with a third sharp sand. Pipes for inputs and outputs must be placed on the sides of the lake are being made. If a single pond is installed only will need to be a waste-pipe from the bottom on the run.

This should be done in a straight line if possible to facilitate the hit in case of obstruction. The pipeline is the most appropriate iron gas pipe with a diameter of no less than the internal one and a half inches. A plug must be provided to close the entrance, which can be a simple wooden cone fitted into the hole in the pipe. Once again, the pipe can be hidden with the inclusion large waterfalls, statues, patio, or garden supplies. When you want to make two or more ponds, must be connected by piping in a single system along with the garbage-tube connecting the drain nearest to it.

If all pools are the same level, the connecting pipes may enter and exit the bottom, but if the levels are increased, as would be where a sloping lot, the overflow of each pond to the next lowest of the series should be placed in the water line, otherwise the water will flow to a minimum throughout the pond. It is practical to fill the tank and drain the garden hose.
