Would you recommend scooter to commute to school?
So I'm thinking of getting a motorcycle to drive to school. I'm about to be able to get I was originally planning to leave and not even buy a car because gas prices. Recently, the idea of buying a motorcycle (I'm thinking 150cc) was very attractive, given the price and mileage, but also … the freshness that comes with having a scooter. After a thorough investigation'm in love with the idea of having a scooter. However my parents are worried about security. So what is your recommendation? I am 16 years old
First let me say that I can understand parental concern about the lack of attention paid to drivers of motorcycles and scooters. But I also think it depends on many factors and how responsible you. Yes, I know I do not want to hear that, but new drivers are known to be a little too confident. Been there. I think it also depends on where you live. If you live in a high traffic of densely populated city, I would not recommend it for a new driver because drivers of cars get totally crazy when stuck in traffic and not paying attention to small machines around them when they are struggling to get through the next light. If you live in a small town or an area more rural, then i say go for it. A So, ignore the previous post. Scooters have become totally cool. They are also easier to handle than a motorcycle especially for someone inexperienced, get better gas mileage than a motorcycle, and are cheaper. If you decide to get a scooter, it is essential who takes the course of motorcycle safety. Good luck and safe journey.
