Scooters 50cc
Concerning Roketa 50cc scooters?
What is the maximum weight limit of a roketa scooter 50cc? I am looking at a MC-07-50T. The current owner says his drive belt breaks often. He looks to weigh about 200 lbs. I am at a weight of 225 lbs.
Are they for kids and small adults only?
Can a stronger belt be added? I was told you can buy stronger Kevlar belts.
Is there a good place to buy parts?
Any help would be appreciated.
The problem is that with your manly weight the transmission belt tends to slip on it’s pulleys during take offs, causing premature failure. It is also possible that the transmission pulleys are misaligned. At any rate, transmission belts are considered standard wear items on scooters.
That being said, the Roketa is cheap and rather poorly made judging from the number of problems that crop up on YA! as well as dedicated forums. It is entirely likely that Roketa uses short-lived, low quality belts. But, hey, it’s your money.
