Can anyone give me any information on scooters, please?
I have to travel about 26 miles to work everyday. Especially the countries road. 55-60 mph with some light urban driving? Scooters If it's something I should consider? I work for a university and see all the college students riding bikes throughout the campus, but I know nothing about if it would be for me to see how far I have to drive and how quickly I have to go. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Of course. Many universities have preferred parking for motorbikes and scooters to shorten your walk. 26 miles is not much on the country road, but receives less than a 150cc bike, preferably a 250cc. Or do you keep the flow of traffic that you describe. If you've never Riden two wheels before, however, take the MSF class premises for a purpose week before buying. They do very well taught to assemble and Wil tell if it's something I really want. The fuel economy of scooters is big. By selecting one, sure to check that your storage space is consistent with their needs. Piaggio and Vespa products are nice, but somewhat expensive. Kymco makes an excellent line of scooters and they have for many years. You want a local dealer, so choice may be limited to what is locally available. Do not buy anything off the Internet, how to get work done on it and the reliability is a problem. Only buy from brick and mortar retailer or buy a thirst for a brand with a local dealer. Finally, you did not mention where you live, but the weather can be a facotr for the amount of time per year, can be mounted. Despite all year, many ride even with temperature immersion at 10 degrees, you really need to dress very warmly to anything below 40. If you choose to go travel scooter, get a helmet that is comfortable, ankly protective boots and slip-resistant soles, and a quality jacket that fits. You can buy vent jackets with elbow, shoulder and protection back with liners that turn when it gets cold. And do not forget the gloves as if you fall, a lot of people, of course, put hands down and they need ptrotection.
