Suggestions for a motor scooter?
I'm looking to get a bike that I can use for just getting around town (Fargo / Moorhead area) So I do not want a full blown bike say, but I was thinking around the 125-150cc area based on recommendations from my local motorcycle shop. My question actually comes from the fact that I see online, as some $ 1200 scooters 150cc and the bike at the local store was a yamaha for $ 3,300. Anybody can point me in a direction of what the bike would be affordable (preferably under 3k) still will perform well?
There are several well-made scooters in that size, I see them on Ebay all the time. Piaggio, Vespa and Kymco are the three highest rated companies in the world of scooter. They will cost a little more. Kymco is the best business. The scooters are very cheap by a roll of the dice. For every one that is good there are 100 bad ones. Japan's big four are expensive that's all. I have seen many of Kymco on eBay for $ 2,500 or less that are good to buy s and have a warranty and is an honor. They have been with us since 1963.
