Any suggestions for a first bike? Scooter?
I am looking for my first bike. 45 years stay young housewife, 5'8 "240 pounds. I'm thinking about a scooter vs. motorcycle. Yes I know about the weight issue. Mainly for running errands around our country town. I like the Honda Silver Wing or something similar. This is my last breath to be young! But no, I'm not stupid. I take the safety course. I've been literally dreaming about bikes once a month for years … decided to finally take the plunge. My husband will get a Gold Wing trike this summer and would like to take long walks with him and our son of eight years. Please do not nasty comments, they hurt. PS Stupid question … Do you ride on the road or shoulder with a scooter, I see them on the side sometimes … but I'm looking at larger scooters,
Hello guy, I am a year 57. old has been working to set up two years. only. I do not know why almost everyone here is recommending as big bikes. I started with Stella, a two-stroke, 150cc manual and had a hard time with it (although I had taken the safety course.) Reconsider Soon and got a Honda Metro. It will automatically 50cc approx 40 mph – very easy to handle, perfect for errands around town, and did not require a motorcycle license. Recently I decided that was not enough bike and moved to a Kymco People S 200. I can do roads, not highways. Sounds like a Honda Reflex scooter would be ideal for you. Automatics are very nice!
