U.S. government agencies Withdrawal
There are many government agencies that have some limited form of the responsibilities of a product recall, such as responsibility Coast Guard some marine-product recalls like floatation devices, and the EPA Environmental Protection Agency () jurisdiction over the withdrawals damage to the environment. However, most of the recoveries in the United States through one of four government agencies: Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Food and Drug Administration (FDA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Food Recalls
