Tao Tao Atv Problems

Thinking of buying my son a cheap Chinese quad? Tao Tao 110cc.?

I know you get what you pay, but just wondering if anyone was lucky, problems or safety concerns? Anything above these ATV would be appreciated.

It's a sure shot. I do not know of any problems at first hand, but I really do not know anyone who has a Chinese ATV. I would be at least a little concerned about security, however, hanging the throttle cable, brakes not working properly, so that will not happen, but it would be a concern about the quality and lack of quality control of these products. Probably could find a quadruple Japanese used for the same price it would be much better. I know you do not want to give something that is used as a Christmas present, but you may be able to find one in perfect condition used. Just a thought.
