How I can make my moped faster?
I just bought a new moped (Tomos LX). now i top out around 33 mph, I wondered if I could increase my general topspeed and acceleration. a friend told me to do three things: add a performance air filter upgrade to a larger aircraft, adding a performance exhaust. Is this true? If so, are there other uprgrades I can do? any help would be appreciated
Your friend is right, and you can go to the store on the speed of a motorcycle in good standing in which he has someone who is familiar with times improving performance of two (I'm assuming the engine is a two-stroke). In two days of age jargon performance, a good builder will go after three things: Lift the EXHAUST port (but not too much, or the range of power becomes an enemy), two, lowering the intake port, allowing a bit more fuel (but not too much because after a period of certain fuel management problems arise), and three, expanding ports transfer (but not too wide or piston rings slap at the edges of the transfer port.) A person can always install a larger carburetor and a performance exhaust, but remember: if a person makes and rev engine breathing, he or she puts additional pressure on the crank seals, crank bearings, and even the cause. Moderation is really the word defining practices in the construction of horsepower and torque.
