Do you ride your Vespa in the rain?
I live in Portland, OR and I am thinking of buying a Vespa. Vespa owners (or a scooter or motorcycle other owners): Do you believe that this is strictly a nice weather, or if you ride all year round, even in the rain and cold?
Wear protection, wear a helmet with a mask and gloves, cotton jersey, turn your lights on and slow down. Work gloves off pretty good in the rain the mask, but I like a layer of wax from aoutomobile good too. Just make sure it does not contain abrasives such as pumice or rouge. Slow down because many scooters do not have treads of the tires have much slotted to divert water and this makes them easier slid on slippery roads. If you have to cross the railroad tracks or tramlines, trying to cross the closest thing to an angel 90 degree (horizontal) as possible at low speed.
