Moped Scooter … Lame?

Would it be totally lame if I have a 150cc scooter moped? Not the little Vespa, but the steroids that are large and can go about 70 mph. I guess it's good on gas, very affordable, and I live in San Diego, where time is impressive. Besides, I have no need for highway when I come to the city. Practice or lame?
