Yamaha Dirt Bikes
Has anyone ever transition from Yamaha / 4 wheels for street bikes?
I'm one year old college student, 20. In a little boost I bought a 650cc Yamaha V-Star 2000 custom, I was looking for a car b / c my car is just costing too much to drive. I grew up in foot Yamaha 4-wheel displacement and occasionally let me ride my cousin's Yamaha dirt bike. I sat on this bike with it set as low as would go to my two feet flat on the ground Sat. He also leaned from side to side and was able to support the bike with one leg despite being 750 pounds. It seems to have a change of type of art that I myself was used for the 4-wheels. I have a curiosity, it will be quite difficult the transition from the dirt of the street. I'm hoping the change will be the same. Any advice on riding the street would be appreciated. Thanx.
You should be fine with it. The pattern of changes is the same as on a dirt bike, only a different location. But remember, the road can be full of surprises. I suggest you to familiarize yourself with the bike before hitting the road at full speed. Take it to an open lot, empty parking lot and get used for upshifting and downshifting of the motorcyce. Practice turning and braking. This way you will feel more comfortable in the team. Take a cycling safety course would be a fantastic idea. They can teach techniques to better manage ato motorcycle.
