A 1971 Super Beetle for sale?
One of my classmates at the university has a yellow super sells for $ 1,000. Is missing a bracket and has a dent in all the fender. Apart from that the body is tight, no rust, and runs it. I have given Beetles for many years and unless you know them well, people always tell you what a bunch they are. Most of these people never have owned one or knows anything about them beyond what they have heard. This is what you need to know about buying an error. Fenders and running boards are easy to source and very very cheap. To the look at the error, open the engine cover and remove the lower engine crankshaft pulley. Pull and push and make sure that there is very little movement (known as final float). Also make sure the candles are burned very well and none of them keep spinning. Aftermarket heads are known to have discussions crappy. Listen exhaust stroke also around the head. All these things are easily fixed, but negotiate the price if any of these are obvious. Ask what oil to run in and when it was last modified. beetles use of oil and air to keep cool. Bodywise, open doors and keep the rest inside grip and squeeze hard. If cracks, on foot. that is the main channel and the heater of one of the jobs in a few big mistakes. Better still peel the carpet and look for poor welds, and patches. You're bound to find repairs that is fine if done well. Look in the front fenders and find holes where the floor is the inside wing. Easy Fix but negotiating another point. Check the gutters and the wraparound windshield for rust, look in the spare wheel for rust. The seats usually have bad, its very common, but headlinings should be fine but it is easy to replace. The end is brilliant mc Pherson front the road and much higher than the old beam configuration. If the car was Sitting for long periods and then look at the brakes, etc. as you normally would in any car thats stood. All easy and cheap to make. If you find a beetle well to be connected, I've had hundreds and 5 i own right now! My daily driver is a Super 1971 1302 and absolutely trustworthy and massive fun. A super 1302 interface has a round, flat windshield, the 1303 has an interface super round and curved windshield.
